Jeanne's baby sister Jan and her husband Ken, came down for a visit during their European holiday. We had a wonderful short 3 days together. Enjoying a hot treat in downtown Old Times Square in Prague.
We were able to use Al and Connie's van one day and travelled to The Terezin Ghetto which was an 18th C fortress which housed political tens of thousands of prisoners before they were transported off to other camps and put to death. We also visited the Small Fortress which housed thousands of prisoners.
Andrea's happy disposition inspite of her present hardships. Al and Connie have updated their blogspot on which you can read of her continual progress which has been great to date. Their blogspot is alandconnies.blogspot.com.
On Charles Bridged with Ken and Jan with the castle church in the background.
Welcome picnic and Riverside School where Al and Connie work and the kids attend school. Was a great event with lots and lots of ethnic foods.
Can you tell who the guards are at the Prague Castle? I now which one I would like to have to guard me. I did get her, lucky me!!!!
Ken and Jan at the Prague Airport.
Connie getting breakfast in bed on her "real" birthday.
Thanks for your letters. We enjoy hearing from all of you. Will be here in Prague until Oct 3 when we head out to Germany. Will be back again on Oct 15 when Andrea enters hospital for tests and then will begin her treatment and two weeks of "isolation" on the 18th.
